Welcome back to the Such Is Fantasy NRL SuperCoach and Fantasy Review Show. It was a big week of footy — and a painful one for many coaches who strapped the captaincy on Reece Walsh. We'll get into all of that, but let's rip through every game and the key SuperCoach and Fantasy takeaways you need heading into this week's selections.

Thursday Night: Dolphins vs Seagulls

The blueprint for the Dragons is right there — because the contrast in the Seagulls since the coaching change to Kieran Foran has been nothing short of remarkable. They were hard on the ball, hard into every tackle, playing at full tilt. Can they maintain it? Time will tell, but they've got a juicy draw ahead and the change looks justified immediately. The question has to be asked of the Dragons: why wait so long?

Tommy Turbo was on track for an absolutely bonkers score before being taken off for a HIA. He passed the test and will be fine this week — they simply didn't want to risk him in a blowout. Had he played the full game, the score would have been double.

Seagulls Key Scores — SuperCoach

Tommy Turbo72
Kula104
Leigh-I-Hopper-Wardee95
Ruben Garik
Ola Kuatu

BuyOla Kuatu looks set to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Foran era — he's impossible to tackle one-on-one, and with some decent early ball from his halves, he is a nightmare for any defence. High ceiling back rower. BuyKula at 104 continues to deliver for pod owners in draft leagues.

Ruben Garik had his best game of 2026 — clearly got a rocket after a slow start. Good to see him back.

Dolphins Key Scores — SuperCoach

The Hammer92
Herbie Farnworth90
Jermain Asako63
Avarillo66
Fini Fiuayaki53
Selwyn Cobbo41
Lemmu Lemmu39

Sell It's time to cut ties with Selwyn Cobbo. We expected attacking stats from him playing outside Herbie Farnworth — it simply hasn't happened. With a bye coming up, now is the time to move on, particularly given Fini Fiuayaki also disappointed owners.

Good Friday: Rabbitohs vs Bulldogs

A quick rant, and it's a fair one. Adam O'Brien built his name at the Knights on defence. The Knights' best two seasons under O'Brien featured a top-three defence in the competition. Seraldo has brought him in at the Bulldogs as attack coach. The problem? The Knights' attack during that era couldn't unlock Bradman Best, Kalyn Ponga and Greg Marjou. Holbrooke has done that in an instant at Newcastle. So what exactly did the Bulldogs see in those two seasons that made O'Brien the right call as an attack coach?

The Bulldogs' attack right now is putrid. Their shape is stuck in 2023 and it's not fooling anyone. Big changes are needed — in either the system or the coaching staff. It's hard to see them contending for the top eight.

Rabbitohs Key Scores — SuperCoach

Litchfield101
Alex Johnson77
Cam Murray68
Cody Walker58
Colin Matunga54
Campbell Graham26

Sell Colin Matunga is reportedly dealing with a PCL (medial) injury. If he plays, he'll be playing hurt and won't see 70 minutes. Don't bring him in, and seriously consider moving on if you're holding. Sell Dave Fifita had a quiet 42 — they even switched his edge at one point, which was concerning.

Can we stop talking about Campbell Graham and Katoni Staggs for Origin? Graham has shown nothing in two seasons close to his form when Origin was last discussed. Staggs in 2022 was not the movie we needed. Another Laurie Daley special incoming?

Buy (draft) Cam Murray at 68 — not the ceiling scorer, but he works hard, gets offloads and will grab a try assist here and there. Reliable without the x-factor.

Bulldogs Key Scores — SuperCoach

Tuala77
Jamin Salman61
Montoya59
Kira54

Don't trust any Bulldogs assets right now. The system is broken.

Panthers vs Storm

Serious question: is it worth bringing in every Panthers player? They look genuinely unstoppable right now. There will be a correction at some point — Origin will be tricky — but the brand of football they're playing under Nathan Cleary is at a level few teams can match.

Casey McLean is a teenager doing things that teenagers shouldn't be able to do in the NRL. His footwork, speed and awareness are extraordinary. He's an absolute bolter for Origin — maybe a year or two early, but he certainly does more than Campbell Graham or Katoni Staggs at this point.

Panthers Key Scores — SuperCoach

Nathan Cleary115
Dylan Edwards108
Brian Tau73
Isaiah Yeoh69
T. Jenkins
Isaiah Papali'i50

Buy There's a real case for T. Jenkins right now even at the premium price — the Panthers are not going to stop scoring and those edges will continue to cash in. Buy Dylan Edwards is another option as a replacement for Reece Walsh while he recovers.

For those saying Brian Tau has fallen off — stop it. The Panthers are clearly managing his workload, and Yeoh's too. Given what these guys have done for six years straight, that's smart management, not decline.

Storm Key Scores — SuperCoach

Cam Munster62
Sua Falongo
Chan56
Jerome Hughes47
Harry Grant39

Hold Sua Falongo scored a try to keep his price rise tracking — he's on indefinite hold. Sell If you followed the call and backed Brayley over Harry Grant, well done — Grant's 39 this week made it three straight losses to Brayley. That's how you play SuperCoach and Fantasy: take the low-ownership guy and make up ground. Warbrick also came back to earth — hopefully you sold high last week.

Fantasy Top 5: Nathan Cleary 80 · Dylan Edwards 70 · T. Jenkins 64 · Isaiah Yeoh 56 · Casey McLean 55

Saturday: Dragons vs Cowboys

Another blueprint for the Dragons fans. As with the Seagulls before the coaching change, it's very obvious when a team is not playing for their coach. Flanagan isn't necessarily a bad coach — but sometimes your voice simply stops landing. Players have heard the message too many times. There's no belief, no buy-in. At that point, you either refresh the playing group or refresh the voice. The Dragons need to act.

Cowboys Key Scores — SuperCoach

Jake Clifford125
Jackson Purge-Who
Scotty Drinkwater88
Helam Luke75
Tommy Chester74
Reid Mahoney54

Jake Clifford with a 125 — one of very few owners in Classic and they've been richly rewarded. He'll go up significantly in price. Buy Jackson Purge-Who and Fletcher Sharp look like they're shaping up as the number one and two five-eighth options for the season — get in early if you can before the Origin period locks things up.

Dragons Key Scores — SuperCoach

Leloua81
Couchmen67
Hamish Stewart58
Jaden Seward57
Damien Cook47
Val Holmes

Sell Val Holmes might be fixture-proof on paper, but a couple of really poor scores and a poor team around him makes him a sell candidate. Watch Dan Atkinson could be dropped for Kyle Flanagan when Tuesday team lists drop — watch that space.

Fantasy Top 5: Jake Clifford 89 · Tommy Dearden 65 · Leloua 63 · Purge-Who 60 · Luke 60

Titans vs Broncos — The Reece Walsh Captain Disaster

Of all the weeks for Reece Walsh captains to suffer. He came out of the blocks flying — that kick-return try he nearly scored would have been a masterpiece — and then he cops the HIA. He passed, for the record, but the damage was done. He's owed a line-break update on Monday morning which may soften the blow slightly, but it was a brutal outcome for the overwhelming majority of captains this week.

If you captained Nathan Cleary instead — well done. That was the right call and the scores backed it up.

Broncos Key Scores — SuperCoach

Ezra Mam97
Kotoni Staggs76
Xavier Willison71
Paddy Carrigan70
Jesse Arthur70
Reece Walsh38
Adam Reynolds20
Painhaas49

Ezra Mam had arguably his best game in 18 months. Sell Painhaas — the AC joint re-aggravation risk was flagged by NRL Physio last week as a hold concern. The 49 proved that right. If you're still holding him you're stuck in limbo while he keeps getting named. Sell when you can.

Walsh's 38 should hopefully be updated to around 50 once the line-break review comes through.

Titans Key Scores — SuperCoach

Jayden Campbell70
Tino60
Arama Hauer53
Keanu Kinny
Philip Samia43

Sell Keanu Kinny — the eye test is telling us loud and clear that he's not that explosive version from a couple of seasons ago. Should have been sold two weeks ago. Get off him now.

Tino had his best game of the season from an NRL perspective which was great to see. Arama Hauer at 53 keeps his price rises ticking along — solid in a beaten side.

Fantasy Top 5: Jojo Fifita 64 · Paddy Carrigan 61 · Ezra Mam 61 · Arama Hauer 54 · Beau Fermaner & Kotoni Staggs 53

Sharks vs Warriors

Let's be honest — the Sharks have been underrated these last couple of weeks. They've been really, really impressive and it brings all of their assets back into contention. But there's one player in particular who needs to be the priority.

Nico Hynes is coming into the team as soon as possible. He's running the ball more than last season, and the halfback position is proving to be one of the highest scoring positions in both formats this year. The call: get to Nathan Cleary and Nico Hynes — the two best halfbacks in the competition — as soon as possible. Three halves might even be worth considering.

Sharks Key Scores — SuperCoach

Nico Hynes144
Will Kennedy113
Kale Iroh79
Teg Wilton70
Sione Katoa65
Talakai61
Brayley54

Buy Nico Hynes — 144. That number says everything. Watch Will Kennedy at 113 is a lovely score but please don't buy him as a bye replacement — he's a great journeyman but not a SuperCoach or Fantasy asset to build around at his price. Brayley has now outscored Harry Grant three weeks running.

The Warriors' DWZ and the rest of the team were discussed, but after looking unbelievable in the early rounds, they've looked shaky the last couple of weeks. The jury is out on whether they're the real deal.

Fantasy Top 5: Hinds 78 · Will Kennedy 68 · DWZ 66 · Wade Egan 64 · Billy Burns 62

Monday Night: Knights vs Raiders

I'll put the jersey on for this one. The pessimists who had the Knights finishing in the bottom two — this is what humble pie looks like. Is it a great Raiders performance to benchmark against? Honestly, no — the Raiders were poor. But the Knights have been great and here's the thing people are missing: you lose Dylan Brown and Kalyn Ponga and it looks like a disaster. Then you remember you've got Sandon Smith and Fletcher Sharp in the halves. Not a bad pairing, particularly given what the Knights have had to work with in recent seasons. Fletcher Hunt is doing more than a serviceable job at fullback. That's why they're in games and upsetting the apple cart.

Knights Key Scores — SuperCoach

Dane Gagai131
Dom Young86
Greg Marjou83
Dylan Lucas70
Fletcher Sharp70
Trey Mooney47

Dane Gagai, winding back the clock, scored 131 and gave poor Ethan Sanders an absolute bath. A pod option if you're feeling brave. Buy Dom Young and Greg Marjou will score plenty of tries on the wing and are both worth having in your squad. Buy Fletcher Sharp — the PCL injury seems to have settled after a couple of weeks of watching him, and 70 looks like a solid floor. Worth the purchase.

Raiders Key Scores — SuperCoach

Ethan Strange95
Noah Martin76
Simi Sasagi
Hudson Young65
Tapine

Sell Noah Martin is probably a sell next week once his price peaks — keep an eye on the numbers Tuesday. Sell If you still have Tapine in your team, please reassess. He continues to disappoint.

Fantasy Top 5: Dane Gagai 86 · Noah Martin 63 · Ethan Strange 62 · Simi Sasagi 60 · Dylan Lucas & Jacob Saifidi 61

Eels vs Tigers

A closely fought game that the Tigers edged out — with some questionable officiating along the way. The Eels came into 2026 with a lot of hope but haven't reproduced last season's form, and Mitch Moses hasn't been at his sharpest to start the year.

Kai Pierce-Paul — as a Knights fan it physically hurts to say this — is a freak. His ceiling over the next three seasons could literally be anything. He's someone to get into your team as soon as possible.

Tigers Key Scores — SuperCoach

Terrell May90
Alex Johnston86
Adam Doueihi69
Fynu64
Kurosawa59
Nakasini44

Buy Alex Johnston continues to do his thing at 86 — those scores are now consistent enough to trust. Get him in as soon as possible. Watch Adam Doueihi at 69 is doing a job — not sure he's a top-two or three halfback by season's end, but he's producing for now. Could be time to consider selling to Nico Hynes. Sell Nakasini is approaching sell time — just find the right cheapie replacement first.

Eels Key Scores — SuperCoach

Twiddle88
Bailey Simonson75
Junior Paolo70
Mitch Moses68
Pezzet14
Twiddle has emerged as a potential cheapie at halfback with an 88. But resist the urge to jump straight in. The first price rise doesn't come until their third game. Wait to see if he's named Tuesday, make sure he's playing full minutes, and confirm the price trajectory — then bring him in next week.

Watch Bailey Simonson had a 75 but suffered a dislocated ankle — he'll be out for an extended period. Sell Pezzet has a hamstring injury and scored just 14 — sit on your hands for now and see what Twiddle does next week before making a move.
