How the VC Loophole Works

The Vice Captain (VC) loophole lets SuperCoach managers lock in a big vice captain score as their captain, rather than rolling the dice on their actual captain scoring bigger in a later game. It's one of the highest-leverage weekly decisions you can make.

To execute it, you move your captain to a non-playing player before lockout (e.g. a bench player who hasn't been named). Your VC then auto-becomes captain and their score doubles. The auto-emergency covers the empty on-field spot.

Key Decision Rules

If your VC scores above ~90, executing the loophole is usually the right call.
If your captain has a ceiling higher than VC score + 20, roll the dice and let them play.
Always factor in injury risk, HIA risk and form — a projected 110 means nothing if your captain is 50/50 to finish the game.
The emergency score matters — if your emergency is a DNP or low-scoring bench cheapie, the gap closes fast.
If the two scores are within 10 points, take the safer option. Loophole = safety.
